KAZE are a “vibrant, future-facing” band based in Manchester. Graham McCusker, from Paisley and Amy Webber from Kent, met while studying opera at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2012. They started writing songs while Graham was undergoing chemotherapy for Leukaemia in 2016 and as soon as he finished treatment, they recorded and released their first EP. Amy writes the lyrics and sings while Graham writes the music, plays keys and cracks bad jokes. They decided on the name KAZE, because it means ‘wind’ in Japanese – we’ll let you decide why…
Secured airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland (Single of the Week), BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Oxford, and Amazing Radio. KAZE have been supported by BBC Introducing and in 2017 were selected as ‘Artist of the week’ for Richer Unsigned. Their one-take music video for Pinned On You was made ‘Video of the Month’ by OurStage for 2 months in succession.
